I’m really excited to share this song with the world! Whenever I incorporate real world foley recordings into my music, it just feels so much more like ‘me’ than if I was only writing using instruments and samples. In this case, I used recorded sounds from a nature walk in the woods surrounding Breitenbush Hot Springs in Oregon, USA. This is an incredibly magical place, and I was blessed with the opportunity to stay there for 5 days as part of a working interview. After soaking and hiking and jumping in the river and eating great food, I was sufficiently relaxed and inspired to write this song. I incorporated elements that felt organic and soft to emulate the peaceful presence of the property, while letting the groove be a little on the more energetic side. Overall, I’m very pleased with how this came out. I hope you like it, too! Please show it some love.
